Day 5 June 25th

An exciting day here in Ocracoke! The weather last night permitted the girls to sleep on the decks with clear skies above. This morning we rented bikes to explore the island and split up for a while to let the girls have some free time. Some went on a run and found a local coffee shop to hangout in while others shopped. In the afternoon as a group we all hiked a small trail to the beach where the water was clear and the sea life abundant! The girls then got to meet the captain of the Drumstick , a boat that helped us get through the channel yesterday, and thanked him for his efforts. After showering on the stern of the boat we all rode our bikes to the end of the island to eat a hearty dinner with lots of oysters at Howard's Pub! After dark we let the girls do a bit more exploring before turning in for the night with snacks and a movie.
